credit card question

not sure if either situation will make a difference on credit score but i thought i would ask.....i have 2 balances left on credit cards from christmas. one has $1000 on it and the other has $300 on it. this week i want to pay $300 on credit cards. which one should i put the $300 on to help credit score or does it not make a difference?

Limits on the cards? What are you looking for? Just a score boost or if not, I would put it towards the card with the higher interest rate.

I'm thinking that it's likely paying off the $300 balance would help your score the most, as this would make a zero balance account.  However, if the card with the $1000 balance is using up a huge portion of the CL (and the $300 balance isn't), you may be better off paying down the $1K balance to get it out of "maxed out" status.
