Re: credit card without social security

You're at a 11-12% utilization right now.

From my recent experiance, I didn't see a score increase when I dropped from 12% down to 5%, and didn't see a score bump from 5% to less than 1%. Maybe you will have better luck.

BCE: $0/$8500, CSP: $15/$5000, Chase Priority Club: $0/$3500, Freedom: $0/$5000, Barclays NFL: $0/$7000 Discover: $0/$4750, Citi Dividend: $0/$2000 Cap1 x2 $0/$2250

EQ FICO - 07/2012: 699, 08/2012: 714, 10/2012: 729, 11/2012: 686, 12/2012: 723, 01/2013: 737, 03/2013: 725, 04/2013: 734, 05/2013: 736

Re: credit card without social security

Never mind, I misread your post.

You're at 24% right now. You'll probably see an increase in score but not sure how much. I wouldn't bank on 40 point increase though as your utilization is really not THAT high

LS, I don't think its really relavent for this topic. It's not a legal forum.

And possibilities are: student, work visa or spouse visa etc.

I remember there was a time I didn't have a SSN either, nor did my father. My step mom had a visa for work, but we all eventually got SSNs.

I agree. It doesn't matter why.

The topic of the thread is getting a CC without a SS#.

Re: credit card without social security

Sorry I brought it up in the first place though...I was just curious but the OP didn't seem to want to answer it so I left it alone.

OP, it may be easiet to just call Chase and ask, right?
