Re: credit cards

Welcome to the forum

I would say they're about the same odds of approval

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: credit cards

I'd say Chase is a bit tougher.  You can usually squeeze into Discover with a 650 on the low end and Chase won't go that low.

Re: credit cards

I agree with boomhower. They are really pushing the Discover It card right now. I seem to get a pre-approval notice from them once a week. I think their standards may be a bit lower than Chase although I have read on this forum that people have had great experiences with Chase on recon.

Re: credit cards

I had a rough time with Chase recon for the Freedom but the approval was instant for the Discover It.

Welcome to the forums!!!

IMO they are about the same, with Chase probably being a tad harder to get. What kind of CL did you get from Discover??

Re: credit cards

Congratulations!!! The Freedom is a tough nut to crack if you have a short credit history, but otherwise they are pretty much equivalent in underwriting standards. Smiley Happy
