declined for for credit limit increase, does this effect my rating?

Hey everybody, man this economy hurts.

If I ask one of my companies to increase my limit and they decline, is my credit rating affected?

Depends on the lender. Some do a hard pull and others go on past performance. I reccomend reading credit scoring 101 if you haven't done so already. Welcome to the forums!!!
