denied for citi pp

hey guys,

 

i just applied for 2 cards..the citi forward card --approved for 5k  and the citi pp and was denied for that one..my credit score is 701 on eq..i called the citi specialist and he said it was becuase i my history was to short..i got my first card in 2004..anyway i was wondering can i call and ask to have that pull that i was denied for to be used to see if i can be approved for a dif card?  i know it sounds crazy..any ideas??  he said i can call and ask them to reconsider once i get the letter in the mail..ideas anyone on what to say?

The Citi Forward card is intended for those who have a short credit history so that's probably why you got approved for that card. Also, you're credit might be short but it also might not be long for Citi to approve your application for one of their high end cards.

i see what ur saying..any ideas on calling them and asking them to reconsider?
