Anyone know what the actual benefit of having a gold amex over a green amex is? I totally understand the benefits of the PR gold, but the only difference i see between the regular gold and green is access to exclusive events. If one doesn't care about that access, is the additional fee worth it? Are there some perks I'm missing?

I think there is a Gold Card hotels program where you can get a $75 dining credit for booking through Amex. I never bother with it because the couple times I've tried it the rates weren't that good. Not sure if there are other differences.
