does best buy convert cards?

as the title says, will they convert my store card to a mastercard?

in my wallet:
Amex Zync : NPSL (main card always pif)
Discover More: 6,500$ (no balance)
Chase Sapphire : 5000.00$ (no balance)
Citi Thank You Card backed by Amex 8,200$ (no balance)
Amex Blue Cash 21,000$
Best Buy Store Card : 5,700$ (I'm a nerd so used a lot)

Not in my experience. I dont think they convert any card to anything else.

IMO it's better to have the store card!

+2, OP, as a store card holder, I've been offered the BBRZMC in addition to the store card. Each offer had been via e-mail, though rejected each.

ugh, i guess i will stick to the store card. i would only convert not a new app.

I hope when cap one takes over,they change my card .. have a extended credit "B" store account....750 max CL

 

I need the larger limit ,but with cap one taking over  WHO KNOWS !!!!!

Why is it better? The only advantage the store card had over the RZMC were the financing options but now that the RZMC also gets them, I think the MasterCard is much better due to global acceptance and the Premier Silver status + the extra points bonus.

I have had their BBRZMC for 4 years now and always paid on time. Asked for CLI many times, shot down as always.

 

Now if this goes to Cap One, I'm really screwed :smileyhappy:

The store card can give much higher CL's.

 

Most (not all) of their bank cards are rebuilding cards that won't grow.

 

It takes higher scores and cleaner reports to get the store card.
