eBay Mastercard -the card from hell.

Please read this before EVER considering applying for one.

It was bad enough they send me this card by mistake when they were supposed to send me a paypal one.

I got an offer for $30 as a statement credit if I make a purchase by 9/20/2014, no min spend, at eBay.com ONLY.

How "convenient" of them that this card showed up 3 days later from the others, even though they were batched at the same time.

But here is where the final straw is broken.

This card takes FOUR BUSINESS DAYS once activated to "link" to your paypal account. This was confirmed by 3 reps and a supervisor.,

There is NO SEPARATE CARD WEBSITE. It's handled from your paypal account. There is no way to enroll your card, you must wait 4 days.

So in the four business days proceeding activating your card, you cannot:

1. Make a purchase on eBay. This effectively gives two whole days to use the $30 offer. The card HAS to link to your paypal account first.

2. Check your balance.

3. See any activity on your card.

4. Pay your bill, balance, etc.

Re: eBay Mastercard -the card from hell.

Wow, so I called them again to see if I could BT the Creditone annual fee and close the C1 account, there is no option for a balance transfer.

I've NEVER heard of a visa or mastercard without a BT option!

Re: eBay Mastercard -the card from hell.

You're playing with fire opening new accounts if you're not able to pay off this card (from your signature): Credit One $300

(Since you mentioned that you wanted to BT it to the Paypal.)

Ebay cc isn't a BT card. If its not for you close it and move on.
