Re: easy to get store cards?

Firestone through CFNA Bank.  I just got one in the mail today.  There was no CL listed.  Called them and was told that I have a $1200.00 CL.   I have to go into a store and fill out a paper application because they need a signature.  They pulled TU for me, which is 588.

I have applied for almost all the others mentioned here and was declined!

My TU was less and I got the Firestone card with $1k CL.  I too had to go in and sign the application. No big deal.  It came when needed because my DH 99 Windstar needed a mini makeover...LOL.

It helps.

I read that Firestone does not report your actual credit line.  Has this been your experience?

Correct, they do not report credit line. They claim it's because they are very flexible in letting you exceed your limit when you need repairs and that prevents other creditors from seeing that you've exceeded your credit line. I don't buy the explanation, but they do not report the credit line.

Re: easy to get store cards?

What do you mean easy? Do they consider d.t.r or strictly your score? And which score do they pull?

Starting Score: 1/2011 TU 539 EQ 481
Current Score: 2/2011 TU 542 EQ 489 EX 505
Goal Score: 620+

Which score does who pull?  Lots of issuers have been mentioned on this thread.

No issuer will issue a card based on score alone.
