ebay credit card

hi everyone--

i applied for the ebay credit card, i think it was last week..well i got in mail last night it has only a $700 cl..my question is has anyone had sucess with getting a cli at activation on this card???  i know it's gemb and are stingy but come one...

ps well i guess they are quite as stingy as my juniper/apple i got last year still a $250 cl..no increase..if i dont get one this month i think i may give it the ax!!

I would wait for 6 months.  I got the same card and limit last week from GEMB.

If I am correct it is issued by GEMB and they are known to be very stingy with the credit lines. I think after 3-4 months of good payments they give credit limit increase. They did for my other gemb cards from oldnavy/jcpenny/dillards.

No I didn't try.  I'm going to wait til 6 months.  GEMB is funny about new accounts.

Congratulations on your approval!

I got a few GEMB cards last week.  Was declined for the one you got, though.  Nevertheless, I just got off the phone with them re: CLI and was told that no card is eligible for one until you are in the 4th billing cycle.  I know that when I got the Walmart last week, withouth asking her, the woman who took my application over the phone said, call us after your third statement to see if we can increase your CL.
