Re: getting approved for a very good credit card

IMO I wouldn't touch AMEX until the BK is 7 years or older.

Re: getting approved for a very good credit card

I was told by Amex that my bankruptcy needs to be at least 8 years old for them.  It will be 8 years old in October.  I got Chase Freedom and Discover More but it was on recons.  They both asked me the details behind my bankruptcy (medical bills when I didn't have insurance) and they both approved me with limits of $1000.  I got those cards about 8 months ago.

Barclays USAir World MC $8300 - DCU $7500 - USAA World MC $7000 - PayPal Extras MC (GE) $5500 - Chase Saphire Preferred $5000 - Discover It $6000 - Barclays Sallie May $2700 - Chase Freedom $1000 - Capital One $8500 (business) - store cards ranging from $500-$9500
