Damn even at 23 with my supercharged corvette I was only paying $300/mo, and that was with THREE cars on my policy. You must have had a lot of wrecks or something.
I'm 27 and pay 60 / month for a new Z06...
Nice, I just turned 25 the other day. We'll be paying $180 for 3 cars including my 'vette (supercharged 800HP, just google my name and you'll find my website) starting in March.

I bought a car in December lol! Renting was becoming a hassle! I didn't finance it though... So no hit to my cred ;-)

My biggest utl is my insurance for 475 a month besides my rent...im a 21 yeard old whos never home so not much spending on groceries or gas/electricity. I dont have any car loans either. My biggest spendings are gas, clothes and just going out. I can easily meet the 3k by just paying my car insurance, phone and just making it my everyday card.
WHY IS YOUR INSURANCE $475 PER MONTH!!!
I am 21 and my insurance is nowhere near that. I pay about $120 per month for excellent coverage on a decent car, with renters ins, and addtional liability coverage in a city.
I didn't pay anywhere near $475 for insurance on a new car when I was 18, let alone 21.
Maybe you need to shop around a bit.

No wrecks or anything. I got my license when i was 19 so only 2 year driving history. I have 4 cars on my policy. All premium coverage.
That explains it a bit, but even still...wow!

I drive a 2009 Impreza. I am thinking about getting a Legacy and the 2013 Legacy is the same cost to insure as my 2009 Impreza. Insurance companies are weird. Guess they see a higher percentage of wrecks in Impreza's than in Legacy's, must mean more risk even though the Legacy's start at a higher cost.

a coworker of mine just got a 2013 legacy =)
i agree. my mom had a 2009 rav4 and got a 2012 rav4 in august. her insurance went up 1200 for the year. the only explanation was that the car was newer and parts were more expensive.
i got two quotes before i got my car. even the the corrolla i was looking into was 10k less in price the insurance was more because its "sportier" as the rep put it.
i got a 30k camry se, and the insurance was about 600 less then the corrolla.
i pay about 2100 for full coverage compared to the 1100 i paid for min, for my 95 integra.
