how long does chase create your Marriott account?

I got approved for the card last Saturday and My card account still haven't be made yet. when I called in they kept telling me to wait. it might take up to 14 business days

It takes a few days.. Mine took 4....I dunno, 5 days to show up? Then I had it expedited. 1 week from approval to doorstep.

I applied two days ago. Don't see it in my Chase account either, eventually.

Their standard response is "it may take up to two weeks" because they need to communicate with Marriott and then your rewards number is printed on the card, so it's not like they can send the card and get it linked while it's in the mail.

It takes usually 2-3 days, but it's the weekend now. I'd say your card # will generate Monday. Once it is generated (it will show up on your online account and the automated app status number (in the backdoor number thread) will say "approved" rather than pending) you can call and ask for expedited shipping. They can't mark you for expedited shipping until your card # is generated. If you get it expedited you should have it by Wednesday at the latest.

I got it approved on Saturday and I recieved an email from Marriott for my free night stay the second night after my approval. but I haven't heard anything from chase. when I call in all they said is I have to wait until the account number is show up. I'm trying to get it asap so that I can go Christmas shopping lol

Do you have any other chase accounts, where you have online access? If so, the account will show up there and that means your card # has been generated.

yes I do. I have a checking and a freedom card. but I'm planning to close the checking since I barely use it

Yeah, so if you log into your account and you see your new card there, that means your card has been generated, and then you can call customer service, and they'll see it, and you can request expedited shipping. The cards with external rewards programs are set up a bit differently so they take a while.

I don't have the marriott card, but for these type of things I usually sign up for the program first and then apply with my membership number. Sometimes you can get better offers for the card through your marriott account than what is currently being offered to non-members.

It takes like 4 business days to show up in the accounts because Chase has to verify the Marriott account first. The number will be printed on the card. This is the reason for the delay to have the actual CC issued. Sorry but this will be a bit tight for Christmas shopping I guess even with expedited shipping!
