how many inquiries arw too many?

How many inquiries on ur credit report would be too many before they make your score drop or make u look bad?

I have more than 30, after awhile I think it stops affecting the score. But I keep getting approved for more cards.

Some banks are sensitive some more lenient. I recon Barclay for approval today and the only question he asked was why so many inquiries. I have 15 on trans since August.

I read somewhere (which doesn't mean it's true!) that as far as score goes, the number of inquiries is put into ranges (e.g. making these up, 0, 1-2, 3-5,6+)

so after a certain point additional ones do stop impacting your SCORE.   But, as staifokuzed relates, on a manual review, questions might be asked about the actual number (and may want details of each).

More than 30 inqs, 11 cards in sig.  Are some inqs for other things (mortgage/loan) or are you getting rejected as well as approved!

After 13 they stop hurting your score.... been there! On all 3 bureaus!

No they're all for credit cards. I'd say its been 50/50 on rejection/approval.

No there all for credit cards. I'd say its been 50/50 on rejection/approval.

Just saw your Penfed Plat Rewards thread.  So clearly these inquires don't matter that much as Penfed is meant to be among the most conservative.  Can you try US Bank Cash Plus next!
