i currently have a amex zync, chase sapphire prefered, and a discover more. i want to apply for a amex blue, and replace that with the discover and the chase, is that a good idea? the chase, amex, discover are all the same age.
i want to close the discover and the chase if im approved for the amex blue, the chase has a 100$ annual fee and the discover is a low limit

Why not garden the Discover and ask for CLI's in the future?
we have a very similar credit card mix. I've thought about closing my discover as well, but it's a great company and there is no annual fee. Have you already used your csp sign-up bonus? Because that should more than cover the 95 dollars. Plus it's such a high credit line and it looks cool...

Isn't it possible to convert the Sapphire Preferred to the standard Sapphire to avoid the annual fee? I think you could do that. Also, Amex Blue will backdate to year you opened your first Amex, so it may not hurt AAoA much or could even help it.
