joint credit card means higher limit?

Does bank give a higher limit for joint credit card than an individual?
Say I have a mid 700 score and currently have $8000 limit,
will the bank give another 8000 if I add my sister as a joint account
who also has about mid 700 score?

Thank you for your times and help!

Re: joint credit card means higher limit?

In some cases banks require a secondary because the primary may not have income and length of credit.

If you are part of Credit Union I suggest start there. They typically give larger credit lines

It's rare that a bank will consider 2 people for more credit... back in free credit market I did have a National City Credit Person say that $15k was usually standard past a certain place in credit and if the biz wanted to add another individual with like profiles they could consider it for a CLI of $15k.... But I have had a joint account for USBank for LONG time and that never got more credit, but I also had not so hot credit when first got it... and actually my credit was NEVER considered in any part of the account, my credit wasn't pulled with original app, and never was pulled during CLI which neither was primary but it was like my credit wasn't there but I had full control just the same...

GE i don't feel does more credit because of joint, plus not all their accounts offer joint.
