does any one else get diffrent looks when they hand thier card to the cashier(or take it out) to pay with. i feel like when some one sees an amex card they act diffrent or even a chase or any prime card for that matter. but when they see that capital one card its like nothing changes lol..
Amex probably did a better job at brand recognition with their charge cards than any other company ever will. I always got a second look when using their Gold card.
I only wish I knew the kind of look I could get if I had an Amex to hand a cashier!

you will soon
I think the vast majority of people have no idea what the difference between cards is. I have a black Orchard Bank and most people think its a high roller card.
I have to check it next time I use an AMEX. I dont generally pay attention to this but now you got me curious.

your right i dont think any one knows at all..
I think somethig must catch someones eye to take a god look i.e. color of the card, shinny etc. Otherwise if it looks like any other cards, one might not notice.
Imagine handing out the mustard colored Venture versus your regular AMEX green
In all the years of customers I have seen, the only card that I ever did a double take on was when someone paid with an AMEX Centurion.
