need rebuilding credit card help

little history..

midland tmobile account....paid, due to fall off cr in 2016

erc att uverse account...paid, due to fall off cr in 2016

financial aid...paid, due to fall off cr in 2017

judgment...not paid yet, didn't want to touch yet as it was due to fall off cr. going to pay after it falls off cr,  falls off cr july/august 2014. (judgement was filed august 27, 2007)

equifax credit score of 590 (myfico score) as of april 2014. not sure of other scores 

want to start applying for some secured credit cards to get my credit score up once my judgment falls off cr. i have defaulted on capital 1 credit cards in past so don't think i will get approved by them.

Any suggestions as to who I should apply for credit cards with?

should i apply for the secured card or the regular card? for secured card is there a limit on how much you can use for deposit. i want to secure with at least 1000.00 to start.

In my opinion secured. It wont unsecure but using the card and showing good history for at least 6 months should open doors. At that time try for a BoA card if denied they may offer a secured $99 for $500 CL. Cap1 is forgiving so there is a chance there. The drawback to them is 3 hps. Once you establish some credit card history a Barclay Rewards for average credit and Discover IT would be my suggestion. Discover also has a secured card they will offer if denied for an unsecured card. Good Luck!
