Amazon VISA or Chase Freedom Card?   which has better benefits to me?  we shop at amazon all the time but right now we do not own a credit card and have not in 3 years?  I need to rebuild my credit score so I think I need a card now to improve my score.

Re: new cards

If your scores will allow, I would app for the Chase Freedom. 1% on everyhting, and 5% on the rotating bonus catagories. In addition, Chase is good to be in the door with.

In addition to a credit card, you might also want to consider a charge card with AMEX, the Zync.

Of course this all depends on your credit history and why you are in rebuilding mode.

Starting Score: 693 TU FICO, 679 EQ FICO
Current Score: FICO 8 = 844(9/15) EQ, 827 TU, 811 EX (7/15); mortgage FICO= 758 (9/15)EQ5, 797 TU4, 748 EX2 (7/15)
Goal Score: 750+, but shooting for the 800's

Re: new cards

When I received the Freedom I had no open CCs either & was approved. I had current student loans and no baddies which I'm sure influenced their decision. Of course I don't know your situation but they will approve with no other CCs. I got a relatively low limit, but that was to be expected.

Re: new cards

IF Chase freedom is denied what are my other options, I don't want to keep applying because that looks bad on report too doesn't it?

Yes it does!... By the way, do you have any negative information on your report? Chase does'n't like to see major derogatory events on your file.
