You're doing good. You got some nice cards.
Ron.
Nice man. What is your AAOA and oldest account? Any baddies?
I opened up the Barclays US AIRWAYS CC in Aug. last week I got my nordstrom upgraded to Siggy and opened up The Delta Gold Amex and then next day got the Citi Hilton Reserve. So we will see what happens. I knew I was getting more cards so I also BT and bought tickets to Hawaii (reason for the card) so they gave me 10,000 CL. I have a balance 8000. I figure that way they can't lower my CL by much. So we will see what if anything happens.
Be careful. just because you have a balance of $8k on a $10k card doesn't mean they can't lower your limit. They can actually lower your limit to less than your balance, making your utilization on that card more than 100%, and hurting your credit score. You could also potentially then be hit with over-limit fees and increased APRs. That's a worst case scenario, and they have to give you certain notice if they do that, but it can happen.
A less extreme example is that they could just "balance chase" you, and keep your utilization perpetually near 100%, still hurting your credit score.
Not to say that they WILL do either of those things, but they CAN (depending on your card member agreement and any applicable state law of course).

UPDATE: i was just at bestbuy buying something and decided to try to use my BB card...bought a bottle of water with it and it went thru so now im confused
Yeah it will get shut down dont worry! I had 4 HSBC accounts little over a year ago. They Closed all my accounts because of the same reason. I have some of these cards for 5 years perfect history and all. Closed them all for the same reason you got! I reapplied for the Best Buy Store Card a few weeks ago. The said it was declined for security/Identity reasons. I called and had to talk to to 2 supervisors they declined it because too many active accounts. But they actually reviewed it against the previous account closure and decided they didnt want to open it because of that reason and my current report. FICO at the time of INQ was 720. So it was the number of accounts nothing else. I still may close my capital one accounts because of their policies. I know it was previously HSBC but they are now Capital One and dont want my business thats fine I Prime cards and that love my business and increase my limits and grow with me as my financies grow too.
