ohh Comenity! You got me this time!

I bought something with my JCrew Commenity store card and paid it the very next day on their web site. But they still reported the balance. GRRRR! I'll take note not to use the card the first week of the month if i don't want to risk balances reporting.

Re: ohh Comenity! You got me this time!

I always stop short of statement date to be safe

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: ohh Comenity! You got me this time!

I always let Commenty report my  balance  because if you pay to $0 before closing, then no statement is generated.  I hate not having a statement showing purchases and payments.

For some reason, I thought this post would be about the OP apping for a card backed by Comenity. Lol

Re: ohh Comenity! You got me this time!

They got me too. Purchased something on Vickie's to keep it active...paid it as soon as it posted...and it reported. I just relaxed they have a five day window between payment date and statement cut. I've learned my lesson.

All of my Comenity cards report on the 1st...so if I want something to report lower I pay before then through my bank...it usually gets credited in a day or so (I use BoA)
