I'm opted out (applying for a mortgage) but still recieveing preapproval offers from my existing creditors. Is this normal?

Or do I need to re- opt out?

Just got preapproval from capone for an auto loan and a pre-approval from citi (Just got added as an AU on my mom's sears citi card)

Re: opt-out

It's normal. Once you have a relationship with a company, they can do this. You don't need to do the big opt-out again. However, you might want to opt out of their individual marketing programs.

Usually you can do this on their web sites, somewhere in the profile or account settings portion of your interface. If not, you can call them and tell them what you do and don't want to receive from them.

@RSCo

On EQ there is location near the bottom of your personal information under ALERTS - if you're opted out it will say FILE BLOCKED FOR MARKETING PURPOSES
