Approved for 20K today.........didn't think I would get it because of all my inquiries, so I apped for the Classic Card which has NO rewards. Thought about reconning for the Platinum but according go the web site you would have to reapply for the rewards card, suggesting that you close the classic card first. My main reason for getting the card is the BT......while it is not a 0% BT card, there are no transfer fees and the rate is 7.,9% for the life of the BT . I have some balances on Home Depot and Lowes with over 18% interest that I plan to transfer. Is it worth the hassle of applying for the Platinum version to get the 2% cash back. I'm sure each card has it's own underwriting guidelines and I'm afraid my CL would be decreased or worse I may not get approval for the Platinum version. Any thoughts or experiences are appreciated.
