my fico score is about 733 across the board. i currently have
best buy 2k limit 0 balance
discover 2k limit 0 balance
amex zync npsl 0 balance
chase sapphire 6k limit 0 balance
citi thank you amex 7k limit 1800balance
my question is, i plan on closing my chase sapphire preffered, i am actually doing it now because they won't convert it to an none annual fee card, and i don't use it enough to pay 100$ a year.. I also plan on closing my discover because i don't really use it much, would it hurt me much to close these? i will have my citi paid off by christmas so it's not a big deal for the util right now it will soon be 0%, i mainly use my Amex cards, I don't use the rest. they were only used for cash advances that i didn't really need lol. so that's why im closing them. i really want to close discover and chase, then open up an Amex Blue or Amex Clear. i want the cash back rewards.
Discover is no AF so why close it?
it's up to you man. however your utilization will be affected due to the lack of revolving credit limits. i'd open the AMEX ones you wanted first and then close if that's what you're wanting to do.
i already closed the chase, she said it wouldn't show up as closed for a month, and the discover just sits there. i prefer amex honestly, over discover.

Unless there is some reason to close Discover, don't.
It helps your UTIL and your AAoA.
No AF = no negative in keeping it open... even if you sock drawer it.
