"CHASE, I APOLOGIZE..."

I have not liked Chase since I opened a Chase Amazon Visa card in 2007, put one large charge on it, and then had them close my account in early 2008.  Of course, at that time I had absolutely no understanding of what good credit was, what it looked like in the eyes of creditors to have all your cards maxed out, etc.

Since I found the forum in January of this year, my scores have increased greatly by paying down revolving debt and minimizing inquiries (alright, maybe I’m not doing so well with thisSmiley Tongue).  And, since May I have obtained cards with Amex, Discover, USAA, and DCU (already had Citi and BoA).

I need to stop apping as I will be trying for a mortgage in late Summer/Fall of 2013, but always wondered if I needed to give Chase another try as the problem was me, not them.  And from what I’ve been reading here, they’re awesome at recons if you are denied, have great CS, etc.

So, last night I put in one final app for the year, and applied for the Chase Sapphire Preferred:

Instantly approved for $7500 CL !

Hopefully this will be the beginning of a long/positive relationship with Chase. Smiley Happy

Re: "CHASE, I APOLOGIZE..."

Thanks, everyone.  Yes, it was surprising to see the instant approval on the screen, and the CL, too.  I'm so used to getting the 7-10 day message (and then ultimately a denial) that I'm still a little in shock. Smiley Happy
