So I PCed a Visa Platinum to Quicksilver a month or so ago online, and got a $250 CLI from the EO. Today, after a month and a half of no offers, I get "you're eligible for this exclusive Quicksilver card offer" with "access to a higher credit line after you make your first 5 monthly payments on time."
Is there any chance that this offer would get me a credit line with a comma in it? I'm guessing they'd give me a second card, and the FAQ on the back says I could be denied if I've applied for a card twice in the past 30 days (I haven't applied since 2007), and it talks about how to manage multiple cards online.
I only found one quicksilver pull somewhere else and it was a lower credit score + higher limit, so it might be the way for me to get a respectable C1 CL.
You can have 2 cards with them, the question you have to ask yourself is it worth 5 pulls... They will pull EQ, EX, TU, IN, ARS. Personally I would not bother with it.

They're pulling all five now? Bleah. I'm getting Innovis/ARS/IDA reports and then freezes, but I don't need triple pulls. I'd rather get 3 cards for 3 pulls and close out the toys.
Thanks.

Yup all 5 for a new account is the latest intel available on them.
Credit steps program is good. I got it when my score was pretty low, about 600ish? I got $750 to start increased to $1250 in 5 months, then $1750 six months after.
And yeah, you get a second card. My first Cap1 cc was floundering at $300 for a couple years, but when my credit steps increased, my $300 card went to $1800. No EO, no online CLI request, just a surprise increase.

Weird to be getting credit steps after getting almost $5k in new TL (nice CU card and respectable Comenity card) in the last month or so.
The offer expires next month so I'll hold onto it and ponder. Would love to see both cards go up so I can manage the rewards and get something out of them.
Do you mind me asking how much of a credit steps CL you got on your newer card? And if you were, um, on a boat?

Yikes! Sony Card is my last new Cap One, unless I can PC the QS1 to a regular QS. And I'm not sure QS1 will be making the cut when the AF comes up next year.
OP, I wouldn't go for it.
Okay, what is IN and ARS reports?

Innovis, ARS, and IDA are second tier (but apparently used) CRAs. Search these forums for the discussions or use your search engine for "freeze ida ars" and you'll find the details.
I just requested all three reports and a day later filed for a security freeze so new creditors won't get their hands on reports that I don't get monitoring results on. FCRA entitles you to a free annual report from them as well, they're just not playing along with annualcreditreport dot com.

+1
Plenty of other cards around to diversify
