reopen charged-off credit cards

i pulled my credit reports recently and noticed that i have a few credit card that were charged off by creditor as of 2/2008...i was wondering should i call the oc to have these reopen? something like a goodwill ltr.

Its been my experience, the company will not reopen an existing charged off account. You have to apply for a new account. (Unless you think this was done in error?)

I c now that what yr saying is correct...

well on my credit report and it looked like my charged off credit cards had not been sold to a CO...how wrong was i...i have called all of the OC's to ask for my credit cards to be re-age after 6 payments...however i was told that the TL had been sold to CO's...the csr's were helpful enough to give me the name and phone number of the CO...i guess its time to write them a validation letter
