Re: ring

Congrats! It's a great card if you want to carry a balance (8 % APR) I don't think you'll get a higher limit by calling them... Your credit history is too short but yeah you don't lose anything by trying either... Good luck!

Re: ring

The reward to me is the rate as I do revolve small balances from time to time. There is also some rebate system that has been talked about alot on here. I am thinking of closing my apple and moving that 1500 over. dodger i think you would be approved depending on what you consider a toy limit. I decided not to recon, but will ask for a cli when and if i combine the 2.

Re: ring

If you are looking to close your Apple card and move that CL over to your Ring card, they will do that.  After I opened my USAir card ($3500 CL), I called them and asked them if I could close my Apple account ($1400 CL) and move that CL over and they did it very quickly and easily giving me a total of $4900 on my USAir card.

Barclays USAir World MC $8300 - DCU $7500 - USAA World MC $7000 - PayPal Extras MC (GE) $5500 - Chase Saphire Preferred $5000 - Discover It $5000 - Barclays Sallie May $2700 - Chase Freedom $1000 - Capital One $8500 (business) - store cards ranging from $500-$9500

Re: ring

nice. I think i will do that.  see no reason to keep it now. I have to say I actually like barclay's. I have 12+ new accounts this year alone and never a peep out of them. He never even mentioned it today. just commented on how I have handled their account. i laughed and said use it or loose it, and he replied that's our feeling.........

I consider a toy limit for a major CC less than 1000...Barclays is known to start out people with 500 and thats what i would hate...lol. I also have 6 inquiries on my TU in the past year (even though none since Sep 2012 and only one since August 2012. I have a Capital One (750 limit). Merrick Bank (850 limit). Discover More (1500 limit). WF Secured Card (4000 limit) and BofA secured (2000 limit). Those are all of my major CC (not counting store cards).  Im eventually going to close Capital and Merrick once my BofA unsecures and if WF gradautes my card come April. Dont know if i have a good chance of getting in with Barclays. I  also have one paid and one unpaid chargeoff from early 2007.
