A loan specialist called yesterday and left a voice mail. I included my wife's income but did not include her on the app. They want to know if I want her also to be liable.
That would be fine but her scores are around 635 and that's troublesome. I do not want to waste a HP.
I called this morning, had to leave a voice mail for the loan specialist I've been dealing with. An hour later no phone call or e-mail. Seem atipical to me.
It took me awhile to get as well. I had the advantage of living within walking distance of the main office, so I frequently stopped in to make sure I got the card. The initial decision was to decline. The recon takes a long time too, and is required to be on paper. But I then got approved for $5k. They are certainly not crazy to give out credit like NFCU, but if you are patient and persistent you can get it. The process of asking for CLIs is also longer than I have experienced with other institutions and also requires signed paper documents.

It's not atipical at all. You have to be patient with SDFCU or you will get frustrated. Also, some people at SDFCU are much more competent than others.
I'm pleased with the loan officer I'm dealing with.
Here's their reply "We will have a decision for you 24 to 48 hours"

Perfect. Good luck! If you don't mind me asking, how much did you ask for?
$6,500.00
I got a credit score 671 EX today from sdfcu. Is this encouraging or should nothing be read into it?
