Re: secured cards

Many have said that the BofA 99/500 card is good to have and once you have it for 9 months with good history, they will increase it to 1000 and refund the $100 deposit.  I applied for a secured BofA card got denied and they gave me the 99/500 offer.  I save the page on my computer and plan to apply for it over the wknd.

Re: secured cards

do you apply for regular card online to get that offer or the secured card? i see that citi has a mastercard and to try and get my foot in the door with either of them i'd start out with one of the 2

Re: secured cards

I don't  believe BofA has their 99/500 card listed on their site.  I think they only offer it to people that can't get a secured card.  Try calling one of the back numbers to see if you can apply for the offer over the phone.  Not sure.

Re: secured cards

You have to apply for the regular platinum card, it will (i assume) deny you but counter-offer you a fully secured or partially secured card.
