should I continue to Garden or Apply for the Discover IT card

Hello All,

Every week I have been getting an invitation to Apply for the discover IT card. I haven't applied for any card since April. I wanted to do my next app for an amex delta gold in january for backdating purposes. My question is should I apply for the Discover card now? or should I wait till after apply for the amex card in January? My last inquiry was in August 2013 and I have about 8 inquires total on my credit report. What should I do guys? My history is below

 

I started building my credit with a car Loan which was opened In January 2013. In April I got 2 secured cc with. $500 each. In May 2013 I was approved for an Amex charge card (greencard) in June 2013 I leased a car. My credit score is about 715 across all boards. My salary is. 70k and 5% util on my credit report. What do you guys think? Thanks guys.

Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Prime Discover target area IMHO 

Good to go

What Amex card are you lookig for? you may be able to get it as well

I want to get the delta gold revolver. But I will wait till January so it can be backdated. I already have the green charge card. From reading this forum this will help my aaoa. Will apply for the discover affect my chances for the Amex next month?

Perfect you have one already (Amex)

It won't hurt your chances at all in fact I'm waiting until 1/1/14 to app Chase Ink and a Amex for backdating purposes 

So in that case you can wait another 25 days for Discover but either way I think your good to go for both

Applied and got the 5-7 days status. Smiley Sad sad face. Guess it's a denial. I should have waited.
