transferring limits, citi

Hello, I have a Citi card with a 24900 limit. This card was not eligible for any limit increase due to having been increased within the last 6 months

So I applied for another citi card and got a 7k limit.

I want to transfer the limit (not balance) of the 7k card to the 24900 card.

How much of the limit should I transfer, are there any caveats? I haven't even received the new card in the mail yet.

Can I transfer the entire limit and close the new card?

I may be wrong, but to transfer limits between cards you have to wait one year.

that would be..... hm boring. I dont like that outcome, I will see in a few weeks, and pending more responses from this forum
