Just finished app spree. Got Sony rewards, Care Credit, Firestone and Kohls. No more apps for me for at least 6 months. Hope to see some CLI on some of my more established cards while I continue to work on getting my baddies off my reports.
edit: this post and the following ones were split off from the March Gardening thread --hauling

You need to stop, I apped for all these toy cards, and once you have them they never grow, andyouwill not get the large limit cards you really want, I closed over 6 cards this year, take it from me.

Firestone and CareCredit will grow, not sure about Sony and Kohls (They are Cap1 so that should say something)

The Kohl's savings is worth it though. If you shop there.
Which I do, but don't want the card.

I would shop at Kohls, but instead, I shop at the store I work p/t. It's a GE card and my first CL request netted a 1k gain, so I'm hoping it will grow with me. I've seen as high as $7500 CL on other cust. accts when they ask me to look it up.

Until I dropped all my under 1 k cards I was notable to get good CL cards, my first was Barclays for 6.5k, they denied me when I had the small cards open, I then added NFCU foe 10k and PESCU for 5K, Myself, I would close small cards I don't use, as for me my cards would not LETme get better TL and prime cards until, I closed them.

If ever I get my Amex back or app for another one and it is backdated, I'll be sure to close my cap one and hsbc, as I just don't need CL. I just need a CC for rental cars

I have been denied for Kohls at the register 3 times over the course of the years. No matter how great I can get my credit, I will never app there again.
That sucks, crunchy
I can pass on the 30% discounts just for having their credit card. I routinely get 20% friends/family discounts anyway.
Plus I think if I had the Kohls CC, I'd be more liable to wanting to spend more than I should.
