not entirely sure how to get a world mastercard with capital one, without having to directly apply for one. currently, 6000 credit limit quiksilver mastercard not sure if one can directly product change to a wmc. advice on how to accomplish would be extremely helpful.

You could PC to another product and it would likely be WMC.
You'd request a product change to a Quicksilver card. To get the WMC you want to make sure you have a sufficiantly high enough credit limit for the offer to be available to you. I waited until my QS1 was at $6300 to do a PC to the normal QS and asked if it would be a WMC and was told that it would be because of my credit limit.
