TU has 10 inq but nothing since Dec. 13. 5 new accounts in Nov-Dec 13 and one in Feb 14. 2 baddies from June '10. TU is 681 right now with approx 35% util and will be <5% around 5/15 when I would think about apping. Any thoughts?
That is one of there top tier cards. I would wait if i was you. just my 2 cents

I was thinking that as well. Thanks for confirming. Didn't want another inq for nothing. Thanks.

I've over 100,000 in credit cards with them; that's hardly conservative.
I get what youdontkillmoney is saying though. Since they manually review every application after the computer says you're approved, they regularly revoke approvals (3 different cards in my case). Granted most analysts regardless of the Lender don't like to see a bunch of new applications, Chase and BoA analysts have been more accomodating in my experience than US Bank. US Bank reconsideration is also next to non-existent.
wait, you can apply for this via phone? i thought you had to go to a branch, and there are none within 1000 miles of me.
anyway, i definitely don't need this, especially as i'm supposed to be gardening as of like two days ago
but picking two 5% categories is definitely appealing

the 5% for restaurants sounds pretty appealing to me , I hope i can be able to hold off apping for this card for an while.

awesome...........I need your salary
It's not really that high. I just use their cards a lot for business, so I reckon they see the usage and consider me a good risk because of it.

That's unfortunate. I've never been instantly approved for a US Bank card(except an Elan one), so maybe an analyst did see all of the applications, but I don't know. I've had no real luck with US Bank reconsideration either. They say they can send it for manual review, but they never let you talk to the analysts.

stop tempting me lol. not applying.
i already have 4-5% on restaurants from Citi depending how I redeem, plus the categories on Discover and Chase. if i had realized you could apply by phone, maybe i would have opted for the Cash+ card instead of one of the rotating cards, but oh well.
i think i'm content with the six, but i should probably stop reading this thread because it does seem like a really good card.

I will keep them in mind , but i think its more important for me right now to get fidelity amex for 2% flat cash back and sallie mae for 5% gas :-) IT and freedom get 5% on restaurants sometimes so i can hold off hopefully :-)
