Venture is better, especially with the 40K bonus.
Since the QS earns 1.5% with no redemptions restrictions, there's no reason to ever have a Venture One. The only reason for a Venture One would be if you had a grandfathered miles checking account (10 or 20 miles per bill pay/debit purchase) accruing a substantial amount per year you needed to transfer to the Venture One for a higher redemption rate.
