Re: walmart may scores are out.

Congrats on all the increases guys!

Sorry for the newbie question but Im assuming Walmart gives you a free view of your score with their card? What score does it pull? I already get Experian from Capital one so it would be nice to have another for free.

Re: walmart may scores are out.

Mine keeps saying, "Please enter your card number to activate your account."

I'm pretty sure that means something.

I'm going to figure this out.

Must be a FAKO...

Welcome to the Forums xcallmeclayx!

The score that is offered by walmart is a FICO score.  It is the TU08 version.  Generally speaking, the scores that you want to really track are FICO scores.  They are offered here by myFICO for both EQ and TU.   There is a lot of controversay regarding the need to get the TU98 version offered by myFICO but you will have to decide for yourself if it's worth the cost to acquire it after you do a little research on this site.  Any other scores you get from any other sites (including Capital One's Experian score you are getting) are called FAKOs and are pretty much worthless.  As a general rule:  If the score you receive from a lender or site doesn't specifically say in writing:  "FICO" score, then it isn't a FICO score.

I hope this helps you.  If you haven't already pulled your EQ FICO from this site, I'd do it to get a real picture of what your credit looks like.  Smiley Happy

Re: walmart may scores are out.

Thanks for the reply and greetings!

Man and I thought I was getting a deal seeing my FAKO score through capital one each month lol At least it lets me see my report though which is nice and its free.

I have signed up through myFico for my Eq score but got my TU directly from TU. I might have to think about trying to get a Walmart card now. Thanks for the heads up Smiley Happy

You're Welcome!  Smiley Happy

I agree with you, it's nice to get a free report just to see what's on it regardless of the score they give. If it's free, why not take a look every once in a while to make sure all is copasetic.  Smiley Happy  I subscribe to a free service myself just to make sure my reports don't have anything unwanted on them monthly.

I guess capital one only offers that on certain accounts, I looked at mine and they wanted $5.99 a month
