going through the mutual mail today and noticed the roommate got a preapproval (could have been prequal, it wasn't my mail so I didn't look THAT closely) from Wamu. Guess things aren't ALL that bad over there.

I, however, am still stuck in "verify your account" limbo. They won't close the empty accounts, and I can't put any money into them. It's been over a month. And customer service is pleasantly robotic.

So much for the 5%CD. I give up.

Im trying to figure that out also, I just got a pre-qual from them.  BUT they have been taken over by Chase?!!?  Not sure why they are still prequaling?

I just got an invitation to apply for a wamu platinum in the mail.  i'm going to apply anyway, regardless of the buy-out.  we'll see what happens.
