Thanks guys! is it smart to cancel both first premier and orchard and keep the following cards? btw bloomingdales called me to verify some more information yesterday and raised my credit from $300 - $800 just verifying some questions.
Capital One Platnium - $500
Kays Jewelers - $2800
Bloomingdales - $800
Amazon - $600
WalMart - $600
Chevron - $400
Victoria Secret - $350
or do i hold on to these:
First Premier - $250
Orchard Bank - $400
Please let me know the best scenario thanks!

I'd likely close the FP card (high AF / monthly fees) and no real upside for you.
I'd keep the Orchard as a national bank card until you replace it with something else in the future. Cap One and Orchard are your only two non-store cards, and from an underwriting perspective some lenders will discount store tradelines.
Thanks Rev!! i will close First Premier this month!!
congrats but i am so surprised macys didnt approve also... very werid I have a Bloomingdales/Amex for 10,000 and Macys store for 6,000 I knew they would increase..

@Nelly510 wrote:Hey guys i am in the process of rebuilding my credit, I am currently in the low 600s and i just recently got approved for 2 cars from bmw financial, one of the loans is at 3.9% and the other loan is at 9%. So today i went a little crazy and decided to apply for some store cards and got approved for the following:
Amazon - $600
Wal-Mart - $600
Chevron - $400
Victoria Secret - $350
Bloomingdales - $300
Total - $2250
but i did get denied for the following:
Old Navy
Macys
Neiman Marcus
Nordstrom
Target
So that was a total of 10 inquiries, i know its bad but i hope after awhile it will help me out.
My cards that i currently own are as follows:
Capital one platnium - $500
Orchard Bank - $400
1st Premier - $300
How do you guys think its going so far besides the big slurge i did today?
I would be curious to know why the others denied you.
I would be willing to bet Macy's will approve you once they see how you do with the Bloomie's card. Since they're the same company and their credit is administered by the same company.
