i am looking into secured cc so i can rebuild my credit. i was wondering which banks offer the best value. isnt there some that after a certain period of time will transfer from secured to regular cc?

Bank of America = 9 months

National City = 12 Months

US Bank = 12 Months and 680 credit score required

try your local credit union maybe

I have not personally ever had a secured card. However, CreditAddict has provided good recommendations. I can personally vouch for the US Bank one as I know many who have it, the Bank of America one I know about it, heard about it and seems to be a good one and I have heard of the National City one being recommended to alot of post BK people as a sympathetic bank.

i cant go through BofA though because i screwed up a regular card with them...and they blacklist... but i will try the others

If I may recommend to you on a personal note, go with US Bank, they are a good bank, they treat you right, they have excellent customer service and they will reward you for being responsible. You will have a better chance of growth with them. Just saying. Good luck either way.
