what is easier to obtain amex platinum vs hilton hhonors

i CANT stop thinking about how wonderful it would be for me to add hilton hhonors to my wallet family. want to app but not if it will hurt me of course.

i have amex blue cash, and pre approvals for all of their charge cards.

I was instantly approved for the hhonors last week with a 749 EQ score.  Of course, they pulled EX, but I have no way of knowing my EX score.

My SO and I both applied for the offer over on Hilton HHonors website to get 50,000 points after $500 deal with no AF.

He got instant approval for $5,000, pulled EX, his plus score is over 750 and he has excellent credit.

I got a pending application, approved a few days later for $2,000, pulled EX, score is somewhere around 695 thanks to PSECU.

We used $90k for HHI.

Both of us have had Amex's since September of 2010.

i am pre approved for amex platinum charge. would it be a sure bet i could acuire amex hilton hhonors if i am amex preapproved already?

wouldnt count on it because amex platinum is a charge product which is easier to obtain and the hilton hhonors is a credit product which is much harder to obtain. Different cards have different criteria. What is your credit profile like besides your score in your sig
