which to close

Does anyone have any opinion on whether I should close any store cards? I have all the credit I need from main cards now. Other than Sams or Walmart, I don't think I really need anything. I'm worried my available credit is too high.

If I should just sock drawer the cards and let then die a slow death, let me know if that's an option too

My personal opinion is if they're not meeting your needs, then close them. I wouldn't close a bunch at the same time though. How many and which ones are you considering closing?

Re: which to close

anything below 1K and JCP. One Capital One might go too. It's due for a CLI attempt next month, but I might keep the rewards card and let the other go if i'm not increased to at least 2k.

I just have too many cards. My wife just rolls her eyes when I start talking about them. She says they're my babies

Also, do you really need a Home Depot card with a $300 limit? That seems rather useless to me. I think I'd nuke that too.

That's the only store I can think of with the initials of "HD"... I could be wrong of course.
