why does Discover ask you if that's enough cred

When I app'd for my more card the csr told me congrats your limit is 1k, is that enough? Now after reading posts on here I realize Discover doesn't overturn opening CL's.  Sooo really why ask?? umm I dun get it...

Re: why does Discover ask you if that's enough cred

Lol I know right.  They asked me too and I was like, "not really".  She said, well there is nothing I can do but you should call back in 6 months.  At the time I was thinking, then why did you just ask me?  They raised me to 5k with a soft pull after 1 year.  Discover is still good with me.

Maybe it's some sick statistic they keep to see if the computer decision satisfied the consumer or not. The CSR marks Yes or No and then laughs at your small CL.  lol JK

Re: why does Discover ask you if that's enough cred

Probably just being polite, like when they ask if it is alright if they put you  on hold. Maybe they can transfer you to a credit analyst if you say no.
