Re: will you call for recon?

I would, if I wanted the card. I've never done it, but I think I'd ask them what the "low access to credit" part means. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to recon with Capital One on their recent denial of a CLI, but I'm thinking maybe I'll wait a week because my utilization is going to drop from 50% to below 25% when my cards report this week.

Previous High Score: EQ 700 TU04 712 EX 726

i have no idea what low access to credit means. do you only have 1 card? is the credit limit really low? they might be saying there is insufficient data (credit lines given to you) to judge whether you're high or low risk.

if you pay down your balances, that will help with your utilization. you can explain to them you pay in full (if u do), or make more than just minimum payment and you have no issues paying back debt due to your income.

and explain the reason why you're applying for a card with them is to establish banking relationship. got to start somewhere with them somehow......and tell them it's hard to open a savings/checkings with them when they're non-existent in many parts of the US.
