Authorized User?

Whats the recent news about FICO08? Will they push through with their plan of not including AUTHORIZED users in scoring?

Re: Authorized User?

No, authorized users will still be scored, but the word is that they're going to try to cull the non-legit ones. How, I don't know.

Re: Authorized User?

Aside from last name, how else could they do it?  Maybe not calculate age for TL's older than the date the consumer's file was opened by THAT CRA?

Example:   Father has had a credit card for 30 years.  Daughter turns 18 and is put on Dad's card as an AU in July 2008.   The CRA opens a file for the daughter.  FICO only calculates age from the date the CRA opened the daughter's file and NOT the date Dad opened up the account, as it does today.

What do you think?
