BoA freezes cards used overseas

Very funny article. Well, the guy is witty. What happened to him isn't funny.

There is a similar story about tourists in Japan. I think the link is in the above story.

Interestingly, I live in Japan, but have a US addy on my cards. I've used them in many countries, and never had a problem.

I got an ipod, and started using itunes, so kept charging 1.99--wham! they froze my card, for "unusual online activity".

So if anyone was in Oxford and saw an American tourist, cellphone in one hand and beer in the other, fleeing around a pub from a gaggle of pissed off, honking swans, you have Bank of America to thank for your afternoon's entertainment.

Hee hee.  I have probably been to that pub  Smiley Very Happy

You've probably p.o.'d the swans, too!

Sounds like the title of a Martha Grimes novel: The Swans You Pissed Off.

edit to add: I've never been inside a BofA branch. What's with the freakish-necked, sinewy, gnashing-toothed woman? Do they have posters of Suze in BofA? Smiley Surprised
