Credit card companies eliminating signature requirements

I've noticed this with some merchants, but not with others.  I'm sure many of you have noticed the same.

Re: Credit card companies eliminating signature requirements

The tortured road that US credit card companies are taking to get to Chip & Pin is bordering on the insane. They roll out the chips like 5 years after the rest of the world. Then they keep the signature part (WHY?), now they want to remove signature. Just implement a PIN already and get rid of the signature! Its like the second part of Chip & Pin right? They complicated this rollout to insane levels.

When I go to a pharmacy, like CVS, I always sign because they ask. Grocery store - never. I haven't signed at a grocery store in years and years.

Me either.  When the signature block comes up, I just draw a flower or do a quick sideways squiggle.  Now who's boss?
