I'm not an expert, but most people in the last recession didn't have mustaches. As most people now don't have mustaches, it's hard to believe we're in a recession. In other words, I'm not sure there is a causal relationship between a recession and the 8 points from the article, even though their may be a statistical one.
We're already in a recession. It's just not showing up on conventional economists' radar screens because it's being caused by price hikes in commodities, especially energy, rather than a normal business-cycle downturn.
