I think most Americans are in a recession.  And our president does not even know the price of gas!

I'm not an expert, but most people in the last recession didn't have mustaches.  As most people now don't have mustaches, it's hard to believe we're in a recession.  In other words, I'm not sure there is a causal relationship between a recession and the 8 points from the article, even though their may be a statistical one.

We're already in a recession. It's just not showing up on conventional economists' radar screens because it's being caused by price hikes in commodities, especially energy, rather than a normal business-cycle downturn.

"The future is here: it just isn't widely distributed yet."
