It looks like it was a Federal crime so there shouldn't be any parole.

The real shame is he only got 6 years for this, some mis-guided 19yo teenager who steals a 6-pack of beer from a convenience store may get the same.

Re: Man Who Defrauded NFCU Sentenced

" . . . submitted fraudulent car loan applications to NFCU with false supporting documents, made telephone calls to NFCU impersonating buyers applying for car loans, provided fake employer telephone numbers to NFCU and then impersonated the employer while verifying the applicant’s employment and wages. In addition, he fraudulently inflated the true purchase price of vehicles . . ."

FRAUD, one of the many reasons NAVY & other financial institutions require proof of identification such as a Current & Valid Photo ID & Address Verification.

* No excuses required, just simple Current & Valid documentation

It's absolutely no surprise that Navy Fed's Security Dept is SO strict and aggressive. It is mind boggling the amount of fraud they deal with on a daily basis being the largest and most generous CU in the country.
