Geez.   I can get a "chicken cup" at KFC for $1.99.

Considering that AMEX made at least $.9M in swipe fees ( at a conservative 2.5% ), it was nice of them to throw him a bone.

Also of note is that he had to spilt it into 24 transactions, so there must be a max of around $1.5M per swipe.....
